Democracy in action at Cornerstone Parents’ School! 🗳️
Last week, our learners took center stage in the exciting CPS Decides prefect elections for 2025. From passionate campaigns and speeches to secret ballots cast by fellow students, it was a true display of leadership, fairness, and responsibility—values we hold dear at Cornerstone.
The process was lively and fair:
- Aspirants from upper primary classes presented their manifestos during assembly, promising to promote discipline, kindness, cleanliness, and Christian values.
- Every learner had a voice—voting with enthusiasm and integrity to choose the best leaders.
- Teachers supervised to ensure everything ran smoothly and transparently.
And the results are in! Congratulations to our newly elected prefects for 2026:
- Head Prefect / Head Boy – Mwiza Hillary
- Deputy Head Prefect / Head Girl – Alicia Nimurungi
- Other Key Roles (Discipline, Health & Sanitation, Entertainment, Sports, etc.) – filled by outstanding students who will guide us through the year!
During the announcement assembly, our headteacher reminded everyone: “True leaders serve with humility and love, just as Christ taught us. These prefects are cornerstones of our school community—may God guide and bless them.”
The new prefects were sworn in with cheers and applause, ready to lead by example in class, during breaks, and in co-curricular activities. We’re proud of how our students stepped up to make a difference!
Parents, thank you for raising such responsible young leaders. Teachers, your guidance makes this possible. Fellow students—let’s support our prefects and keep the school buzzing with positivity!
